Today is the
third times for study curriculum and learning management in English. It’s still
that my friends presented about teaching methods. Each of methods has different
contents. There are six methods that they presented.
First,
Content Based Learning is its focus, content, and provides the student a base
of content for learning. In addition, it is a study of both language skills.
Instead of teaching language, the target language becomes the medium that
important information can be learned.
Second,
Listening teaching is that listening must make use of students’ former
knowledge to improve listening comprehension. There are two steps for
listening. First, before listening you will require the purpose. Second, after listening you can assessment what you has been listening.
Third, Speaking
teaching is to teach learners to produce the English speech sounds and sound
patterns. It can improve students' communicative skills, because, only in that
way, students can express themselves and learn how to follow the rules
appropriate in each communicative. One other way of getting students to speak
is role-playing. In role-play activities, the teacher gives information to the
learners such as who they are and what they think or feel.
Fourth,
Reading teaching Reading is an interactive process that goes on between the
reader and the text. It is an activity with a purpose. A person may read in
order to gain information or knowledge, or in order to critique a writer's
ideas. The reader uses knowledge, skills, and strategies to determine what that
meaning is. For example, knowledge of vocabulary, knowledge about different
types of texts, the ability to use top-down strategies
Fifth,
writing teaching. Grammar is an important part of writing. When a writing
process is used to teach writing, students begin to understand writing as a
form of communication. Furthermore, writing helps students recognize that they
have opinions, ideas. There are many types of writing such as descriptive
writing, persuasive writing, informative writing, narrative writing, and
creative writing. In addition, there are four steps of the writing process are:
Prewriting is students write outline or note about content, Writing
is helping a student choose topics for writing based on their personal
interests. Revising can include adding, deleting, rearranging to make
their writing more accurately represent their ideas, Proofreading is a
chance for the writer to scan your paper for mistakes in grammar, punctuation,
and spelling.
